Butterflies In The Storm is a project chronicling and bringing to light remarkable acts of resistance by Jews against the Nazis during World War II. The focus is on rare examples of Jewish resistance that prevailed, and have remained largely undocumented. Our first project will be a feature length documentary on the Jewish Algerian resistance of 1942. This resistance movement had a significant impact on the war, yet remains virtually unknown. We recently held our project preview/launch event on Sunday, August 23rd at the Simon Wiesenthal Centre in Toronto. We screened our new preview trailer (above) and discussed our plans with the film.
